- **Johanna Rengifo**: "I normally do not write bad reviews, but for the amount paid for this home, the experience was quite disappointing. I used the wander website after my sister had a wonderful experience in England and France. 

This home looked beautiful as you drive in, but our first experience inside was a horrendous stench. The cleaning person had just left so it was confusing why it would smell so bad. The stench came from the main master bathroom. Unfortunately, it smelled as though it had just been mopped with a dirty wet mop.  The mildew smell permeated into the hallway and lasted through the first night despite opening the door to the outside.  When I made a complaint the local staff left us with a bag of drains, febreeze and other cleaning products, as though expecting us to take care of it ourselves. I was very surprised by this response. 

Second, the home is falsely advertised as a home situated within a vineyard with beautiful picturesque views. We arrived to find a bottle of cheap tequila and an apology postcard explaining that the grape vineyards were currently being transformed into agave. The view from the home was of dry grounds that appeared to have been burned down. This seems like deliberate false advertising.

A few more details: there was bird poop on the rocking chairs so we couldn’t use them and there was no lighter for the fire pit despite them listing that it was in the drawer. We looked in every drawer. We happened to purchase a lighter for birthday candles that day so we used a candle to light the gas fire pit.

Lastly, the guest experience switched to a company called Avantstay the day of arrival. My experience with them was as though I was speaking with AI the entire time. The lack of cleanliness and attention to detail was not worth the $4,000+ for our 2-night stay. " (2/5)
